During the pandemic, a couple in Singapore had a simple idea.
They missed looking out of different windows. So they built a site where people could share theirs.
WindowSwap is exactly what it sounds like. You open the site and you're looking out of a stranger's window somewhere on Earth. A real window. Real light. Real weather. Filmed by someone who thought: *my view is worth sharing.
You get rain hammering a window in Seoul. Pigeons fighting on a ledge in Rome. A perfect autumn afternoon in rural Vermont. Snow falling silently outside an apartment in Helsinki. Cats walking back and forth. Trees moving. The world going about its business.
No music. No narration. Just a window.
Hit "open a new window" and you're somewhere else entirely.
Thousands of people from 150+ countries have submitted their windows. The collection is enormous and endlessly calming. You can submit your own window too.
This is the internet at its most human. No algorithm. No engagement bait. Just people saying: *here's where I live. Come look for a minute.
